Camp Session 5: Other Religions

April 17, 2013 Class Sessions  No comments

In this session we briefly survey some of the major world religions and see how they compare and contrast with Christianity. During the course of the class, we address a number of important questions, including:

  • What are the core essential doctrines you must accept to be part of the “Christian” faith?
  • Do other religious beliefs have any truth in them?
  • Can someone be saved even if they don’t have explicit knowledge of or faith in Jesus Christ?

Camp Session 4: The Resurrection

February 18, 2013 Class Sessions  No comments

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. The Apostle Paul says that “if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” [1 Corinthians 15:14]

Camp Session 3: Who Was Jesus?

January 21, 2013 Class Sessions  No comments

In this session we take a look at the actions and teachings of Jesus Christ. We discuss four questions.

  1. Did Jesus exist?
  2. What did Jesus do?
  3. Who did Jesus think He was?
  4. What happened to Jesus?

To answer each question we use a historical approach to fairly evaluate the biblical and external evidence for the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Camp Session 1: The Existence of God

October 14, 2012 Class Sessions  4 comments

Is there any evidence that God exists? In this first apologetics camp, we take a look at this fundamental question. We discuss 3 major arguments for God’s existence (based on the origin of the universe, the design of the cosmos, and the existence of an immaterial mind).
